This qualification is ideal for beginners looking to expand their understanding of a broad range of wines, as well as those aiming to deepen the foundational knowledge acquired through the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines. You will learn about the major and regionally significant grape varieties worldwide, the regions where they are cultivated, and the styles of wine they produce. By combining theoretical study with practical tasting, you’ll investigate the factors influencing wine style and quality, and develop the confidence to describe wines effectively. |

Assessment is by a closed-book exam of 30 multiple-choice questions.
This qualification is regulated by Ofqual.
There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification. However, participants must be of legal drinking age in the country where the course is held to take part in any alcohol tasting. This requirement does not prevent successful completion of the qualification.
